On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns led by star quarterback Quinn Ewers went against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Big 12 Championship game. During the game, the Cowboys’ star running back Ollie Gordon II looked extremely frustrated on the sidelines due to his team’s performance in the crucial game.
In a short video that was trending on social media, the star running back was seen visibly frustrated as he slammed his helmet on the sidelines bench. After slamming his helmet on the bench, he started screaming and expressed his frustration aggressively. The frustration came as a result of Oklahoma State’s poor performance against the Longhorns.
The short video went viral on social media and accumulated more than 97.5k views within just hours of posting. Check out the footage of the incident attached below.
It is unclear what exactly tipped off Gordon, but the Cowboys did not have a good outing against the Texas Longhorns. Ollie Gordon, however, had a decent game against the Cowboys as he registered 88 scrimmage yards against the No.7 ranked Longhorns.
However, he could not help his team outduel Ewers and Texas in the crucial game. As a result, the Longhorns ended up winning the Big 12 championship game on Saturday. This is the first time Texas has won the conference title since 2009. Along with the championship trophy, Texas also received a customized WWE-style belt specifically made for the winner of the Big 12 conference.
Texas players call out Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon
Ollie Gordon II — who is considered the nation’s best running back — was expected to play a big role in the Big 12 championship game between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns.
Before the game, Gordon was even seen hyped about the game and yelled “F**k Texas” while going into the tunnel. However, he ended up not making any difference in the game and the Longhorns players didn’t hesitate to clap back at him after the game.
Texas tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders wrote “This guy is a clown” while quote tweeting the video of Gordon yelling “F**k Texas.” In addition, linebacker Jaylan Ford also trolled the running back by writing “He has 34 yards” with a smiling emoji.
Nonetheless, the Longhorns managed to register an impressive victory on Saturday. Now, as a 1-loss conference champion, Texas has given itself a shot at making it to the college football playoffs.
