The Oregon Ducks lost their Pac-12 Championship game against the Washington Huskies on Friday. This is Washington’s second win over Oregon this season with the margin of defeat being three points on both occasions. Oregon’s quarterback, Bo Nix, played his heart out on Friday but failed to lead his team to victory.

In two games against Washington, Nix went off for 576 passing yards and 5 touchdowns with only one interception. However, the Oregon Ducks lost the title game for the second straight season. After the game, Nix sat on the sidelines with a towel draped over his head, seeming in shock. This might have been the quarterback’s final game for his college and the emotions came pouring out at the end of the game.

Nix said:

Football is a tough game and sometimes you put it all out there and you come up short,"I think that’s what sometimes hurts, is when you put it all out there, it’s still not good enough. And there at the end, it was just one of those things where you want the moment to last longer than what it can. Even though we lost, it was one of those types of games that was really fun to play in.

Oregon are still in playoff contention, but it is unclear if Nix will play in the Bowl game next month. He revealed that he will make that decision in due time. Nix had an amazing season with the Oregon Ducks as he became only the second QB after Marcus Mariota to throw for more than 4,000 yards in a season for the program.
