ESPN’s First Take has been one of the best sports shows in the USA for a very long time now. The show has seen a lot of personality changes recently, but the reason for the show’s massive popularity is sports analyst Stephen A. Smith. He has been the mainstay of the network’s most highly viewed show for several years. After a host of personnel changes in ESPN, First Take has a new pairing of Smith and former Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe.

Another factor that works well for the show is the constant appearance of new sports and media personalities as guests. One such personality that recently appeared on the show was former NFL player Pat McAfee. He played in the NFL for eight years with the Indianapolis Colts. McAfee has transitioned to the sports media world since his retirement and hosts his own podcast, The Pat McAfee Show.

While appearing on the latest edition of the First Take show, McAfee was plugging in his own podcast and the lineup of various celebrities that will appear on his show. During that segment, McAfee hilariously called Smith a “hating a** h**e” while announcing him as a guest on his podcast.

McAfee said, Deion [Sanders] I believe is starting the show with us, we can’t wait to talk to Coach Prime about everything going on in the world and the buzz that is in Boulder. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is gonna be on the program, Aaron Rodgers will be here, he’ll be on facetime and I believe this hating a** h*e with the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen A Smith is stopping by as well” Smith laughed at the comment in a very light-hearted moment on the show.

McAfee was an All-Pro punter and was selected to the Pro Bowl twice in his career. He was a part of the Colts team that went to the Super Bowl in his rookie season. Since retiring from the NFL, McAfee has also served as a guest commentator on WWE NXT TakeOver. He made his wrestling debut in 2020 at TakeOver XXX.
