Ahead of the high-anticipated Orange Bowl matchup between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida State Seminoles, sports analyst Pat McAfee slipped and almost dropped an F-bomb on the ESPN show College GameDay.

College GameDay took place at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, California at 6.00 a.m. During the episode, Pat McAfee — who was passionately talking about Georgia’s chances in the Orange Bowl — fell victim to the rainy morning and narrowly avoided slipping a curse word.

If I’m Georgia, 29 straight wins, back-to-back national champions. And then we lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship and now we’re not even able to defend our title. I would assume Kirby (Smart) is drawing from that. Carson Beck, he’s a guy that has been under-appreciated all year. Ladd McConkey’s playing, he’s playing. He’s gonna go for f***… freaking…
McAfee said

His ESPN colleagues burst out laughing at McAfee’s mistake, prompting the 36-year-old to own his mistake and explain that he hasn’t been on the show for a while.

It’s early, it’s early locally, it’s raining. That’s on me. I haven’t been on the show in a while.
McAfee explained

The short video of McAfee trying to avoid an F-bomb went viral on social media and accumulated more than 762k views within just hours of posting. Check out the reaction attached below.

Pat McAfee managed to avoid a big mistake on ESPN. Ever since he joined the network, fans were concerned he was going to drop an NSFW word on the show. He has managed to avoid doing that well apart from this mistake. It seems like the early rain and cold weather got McAfee lose his guard.

Pat McAfee’s prediction came true in Orange Bowl

During ESPN’s College GameDay show, Pat McAfee predicted the back-to-back national champions Georgia Bulldogs will go hard in their Bowl game against the Florida State Seminoles. That prediction became true as the No.6 ranked Georgia Bulldogs decimated the undefeated Seminoles on Saturday. Florida State — who were controversially snubbed from college football playoffs — never stood a chance against Kirby Smart’s wounded Bulldogs.

In the end, Georgia handed Florida State an embarrassing 63-3 loss in the Orange Bowl. It seemed like Georgia did not take their playoff snub lightly and made a statement on the field.

Nonetheless, the college football playoffs are scheduled to take place on New Year’s Day. The No.1 ranked Michigan Wolverines are set to take on the No.4 Alabama Crimson Tide in Rose Bowl and the No.2 ranked Washington Huskies are set to take on the No.3 ranked Texas Longhorns in the Sugar Bowl this Monday.
