Patrick Mahomes has had a splendid season as the Chiefs were winning almost every game they played in and are looking like serious Super Bowl contenders. Mahomes was delivering MVP-level performances, solidifying his place among NFL’s all-time greats.
However, they couldn’t pass the Bengals test yet again as the Chiefs lost to the Cincinnati-based team for the third consecutive time. Bengals QB Joe Burrow has always got the better of Mahomes and this time it was no different.
The Bengals broke the Chiefs 5 game winning streak with a score of 27-24. The Mahomes-Burrow rivalry is one for the future as both the QBs are fairly young and extremely competitive.
Mahomes competitiveness was visible again as the Chiefs QB was seen smashing his helmet on the sidelines mid-game due to rage and frustration. This frustration could also be due to the reason that Mahomes has never beaten Joe Burrow in his entire playing career.
Joe Burrow and Tom Brady are the only two QBs to defeat Mahomes three times. The Chiefs QB was furious and decided to smash helmets when kicker Harrison Butker failed to convert a 55-yard field goal to tie the game. This helmet-smashing incident soon went viral on social media and Mahomes was ridiculed for his sideline antics.

Patrick Mahomes is known to have a calm demeanor and never indulges in such activities. Although the Chiefs-Bengals game was a tight competition where the winner would have bragging rights.
Sadly for Mahomes, the Bengals won, and even worse, his incident went viral on social media, and the Chiefs QB was brutally trolled for his antics.
Many started to point out the problems in the team and who performed the worst. TE Travis Kelce was also criticized for his last-minute fumble.
