Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs started their celebrations in the city of Kansas after winning the Super Bowl against the Eagles. The city was lit up and everyone got in line to meet the NFL MVP, who won his second Super Bowl in just six seasons of playing in the league.
The whole celebratory parade went viral on social media. However, various clips went viral due to some other reasons. Mahomes was walking around the parade, meeting fans. In one instance, the 27-year-old QB handed the iconic Lombardi Trophy to a fan.
The video went instantly viral on social media and everyone started to share this hilarious moment. However, the reality is different as multiple reports suggest that the Trophy handed to the fan was fake and Mahomes had picked it up from another fan.
The fan in question was Vinnie Garofalo, who was the owner of the trophy. He’s been a Chiefs fan for more than 30+ years now and was attending his second Super Bowl parade. The Chiefs fan decided to take his replica trophy along with it.
The trophy grabbed the attention of Mahomes, who picked it up from him and decided to go a couple of rounds with it. This is where he handed the lucky fan an almost replica of the Lombardi Trophy.
“Most of them came up and celebrated with the trophy. Mahomes then joined in, took the trophy, walked around with it for a bit, handed it to Kadarius Toney and then walked it back over and took a selfie with me and then left,” Vinnie Garofalo said to DailyMail. “That’s pretty much exactly what happened. It was a pretty awesome fan moment for sure.”
Patrick Mahomes brought Kansas city to a halt with his celebrations

The people of Kansas were elated after winning Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles and decided to celebrate by organizing a massive parade that cost around $1.5 million. Not only that, most of the schools and government businesses were also closed to get a close look at Patrick Mahomes and co as they celebrated along with their fans.
The fans got in line days before the parade even started and many slept on the roads to get a glimpse of the Super Bowl-winning team. However, the parade was planned weeks before the eventual showdown between the Chiefs and the Eagles.
The city of Kansas was celebrating with high spirits as Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce poured beer at each other. The Chiefs were elated after their third Super Bowl win and celebrated extravagantly along with the city.
