The Kansas City Chiefs lost their fifth game of the season against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. It was a close game throughout, but the Chiefs eventually faltered in the final minutes of the game and lost by three points. This defeat was a major blow for the Chiefs’ attempt to grab the number one seed in the AFC conference. The Bills on the other hand, came away with a much needed victory after a defeat in their last game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The game on Sunday was marred by a couple of controversial calls from the refs, none bigger than the offensive offside call on Chiefs’ receiver Kadarius Toney in the dying moments of the game. With less than two minutes left in the game, Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes found his TE Travis Kelce in the middle of the field. As soon as the TE was surrounded by multiple Bills, he decided to throw a lateral to Toney who took it to the house.

However, the refs flagged the play and called an offensive offside on the wideout. It was a confusing call and needless to say, the Chiefs were angry, especially Mahomes, who was caught on the mic complaining the call to Bills’ QB Josh Allen during the postgame handshakes. “Worst f****** call I’ve ever seen. Offensive offsides—you got to be kidding, man. F****** terrible!,” Mahomes told Allen.

That touchdown would have given the Chiefs their first lead of the game. Instead, the Bills got the ball and Allen led his team down the field for three points to take a 20-17 lead. That would eventually end up being the final score of the game.

Fans slam Patrick Mahomes for complaining about the referees to Josh Allen after the game

The Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar QB Patrick Mahomes was upset with the referees after their recent loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The game ended in controversy as the Chiefs felt like they were robbed by the refs in a crucial AFC matchup. Mahomes was devastated by the refs’ offensive offside call against the Chiefs’ WR Kadarius Toney as he complained about it to Bills’ Josh Allen after the game.

The Chiefs slipped to 8-5 for the season, whereas the Bills improved to 7-6. Both these teams are hoping to make a deep playoff run this season.
