The Chiefs’ QB has broken the record for most total yards in a single season, but does he have the most passing yards in a single season? Peyton Manning still holds the record for the most passing yards in a single season. He had a whopping 5477 yards in his stellar 2013 season and is followed by Drew Brees with 5476 yards in 2011.

Mahomes finished the 2022 regular season with 5250 passing yards, which is his all-time high. Despite this, he is still 4th on the all-time list and is behind Tom Brady. The legendary QB had 5316 passing yards in 2021, which puts him 3rd on the all-time list.

So that implies that Brady still has an edge over Mahomes when it comes to most passing yards in a single season, but with his monumental performance in 2022, Mahomes has an edge over Brady when it comes to total yards.
