“You don’t UNDERSTAND FOOTBALL!”: Seahawks HC Pete Carroll has a stern message for his critics following Giants victory
Pete Carroll
When the Seattle Seahawks had to trade away their star quarterback and prized possession, Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, many experts and analysts believed that this would trigger their downfall. Without Russell Wilson to save them, it would be highly unlikely that Pete Carroll’s team would be able to flourish.
Additionally, in the previous season, they finished at 7-10, which ended in a last-place finish in the NFC West. Hence, you can realize that Wilson going away was a huge blow for them. However, they have managed to show that they can function even without their veteran quarterback and play some quality football.
The Seattle Seahawks are currently in the first position in the NFC West and recently recorded a big win against the New York Giants by 27-13. Labeled as a team who were going to need rebuilding, the Seahawks have managed to surprise everyone.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll believes people who want him gone are talking CR*P
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll had a message to all his critics in the post-conference, who proclaimed that he needed to be sacked after the win against the New York Giants. Pete Carroll said that people doubt them a lot, but they are focusing on improving every day.
“You know, all the people that doubt, like you’re losing – we run the ball too much, you don’t understand football, and he can’t stay up with the new game and all that kind of stuff, that’s a bunch of crap, I’m telling you,” Carroll said. “Look, we’re doing fine. We’re all right. We’re improving day in and day out.”
Another interesting thing to note is that how Pete Carroll has managed to revitalize the career of quarterback Geno Smith. The former Giants man performed brilliantly against his old team and recorded 212 passing yards and two passing touchdowns along with rushing for 26 yards on five attempts.
“I’m happy to be here in Seattle,” Smith said. “I spent one year with the Giants. That year to me was like a blur and my life has moved on from them. I don’t have any remorse towards anyone there. In fact, to me, this game was for Ben McAdoo and Jerry Reese. They believed in me. So as far as any other thing, I don’t really care for it. I’m happy to be here in Seattle. It’s like a family here. It feels like home. And so I’m just enjoying my time here and continuing to work hard with these guys and just trying to be the best we can be.”
