Peyton Manning is one of the greatest QBs of all time. The legendary QB has won multiple Super Bowls in his career with different teams. Therefore, it is safe to assume Manning has great knowledge of the sport.
Manning won the Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. He believes the same for Aaron Rodgers who just made his move from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.
Rodgers changed teams after 18 years of service with a single team. The QB is in his twilight years and it’s not viable to have heavy expectations from him. Manning thinks otherwise, he believes that the Rodgers experiment with the Jets will thrive due to certain conditions.
Manning recently featured on the Pat McAfee Show and spoke about the Jets QBs future in New York. he pointed out some solid facts and similarities between the Jets and the Packers.
The Hall of fame QB thinks Rodgers will thrive because of the system the jets have adopted and the team they have maintained along with the coaching of Nathaniel Hackett.
“Let me tell you why I think it’s going to work. The fact that he has the same system that he ran in Green Bay… he’s going to be able to play so much faster. I mean, Pat, having to learn a new offense in your 18th, 19th year, it’s almost impossible because you have to unlearn your old offense,” Peyton Manning stated on the Pat McAfee Show.

Peyton Manning draws similarity between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady were one of the best QBs of this generation and have dominated with their eccentric style of play for many years. Peyton Manning believes that Rodgers moves to New York is similar to that of Brady when he moved to Tampa Bay.
According to Manning, when Brady joined the Bucs he was to learn a different style of play and it didn’t work out. However, later the Bucs adopted his Patriots style of play and eventually won the Super Bowl.
“You saw it with (Tom) Brady, and he goes to Tampa. They’re kind of making him learn some different language. All of a sudden, Week 6, they’re like, ‘Hey maybe we should just call the plays that Tom used to run in New England. Oh okay, let’s try that.’ Boom, they go to the Super Bowl,” Peyton Manning stated.
With this analogy, Aaron Rodgers has a great chance to make it to the Super Bowl this year with the support of his longtime coach Nathaniel Hackett who is currently coaching at the Jets.
