Pittsburgh Steelers’ fan TRAGICALLY dies after falling from escalator inside the Acrisure stadium during Jets NFL clash

The Pittsburgh Steelers did not have a great day on and off the pitch. The Steelers suffered a 24-20 defeat against the New York Jets at home and things got worse off the pitch after some tragic news came in.

Pittsburgh Public Police revealed after the defeat that an unidentified man had suffered critical injuries after he fell from the escalator at the Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night. The incident was reported to have taken place around 4.45 P.M ET and the man eventually died from his injuries despite their best efforts to take him to a local hospital.

The Pittsburgh Steelers franchise released a statement regarding the death of the fan inside Acrisure Stadium

We are aware of an unfortunate incident that occurred inside Acrisure Stadium today,” the Steelers said in a statement, via The Associated Press. “We are working with local authorities and helping their investigation into the matter. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the guest’s family.”

The police have continued investigation into what caused the man to fall down from the escalator, but however, have not found out anything significant regarding the matter. They are yet to find any links that would help them trace the identity of the Pittsburgh Steelers fan and will continue to pursue the truth.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have not had the best of starts to the NFL 2022/23 campaign as they slipped to a 1-3 record after their defeat against the New York Jets. They let a 13-10 lead slip in the final quarter of the game as Zach Wilson weaved his magic.
