Playing till 45 like Brady, is Aaron Rodgers interested?
Aaron Rodgers Tom Brady
Aaron Rodgers at the age of 38 won and became NFL MVP for the 4th time with his 2nd consecutive win but does the Packers legend aim to defy father time and do what Tom Brady has done which is play till 45 and beyond.
Rodgers was drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the now infamous 24th pick of the first round in the 2005 NFL draft and has been a Packer since with few scares in between. The former California Golden Bear had a simple answer when asked whether he will play till 45 like Tom Brady.
Jordan Love has a chance might have a chance
“No,” Rodgers quickly responded. “No. But happy birthday, Tom!”.
The question was asked on the occasion of Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback Tom Brady turning 45 and coming back from retirement to possibly win another ring. When Brady suits up for Bucs this season he will officially become the oldest starting Quarterback in NFL history. Brady once said he might play till 50 but that’s not Rodger’s cup of tea.
This might give some hope to Jordan Love the Packers 1st round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, who’s been backing up Rodgers hoping to possibly replace Rodgers but since Love was drafted Rodgers has done nothing but just win 2 consecutive NFL MVPs.
Currently, Rodgers isn’t sure despite signing a 3-year extension with the Packers whether he’ll play in 2023 and is taking it from year to year. Whenever Rodgers walks away he will be leaving behind a spectacular legacy with 4 NFL MVPs, 1 Super Bowl, 1 Super Bowl MVP and 10 Pro Bowl selections which guarantee him a place in Canton, Ohio.
