President Joe Biden offers thoughts and prayers to Damar Hamlin and his family

Buffalo Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin has been receiving unending love and support from the entire sports community. Fans have been lining up outside the UC Medical Center as they eagerly wait for an update on Hamlin’s condition.
The horrific incident occurred during the first quarter of the Bills-Bengals game when Damar Hamlin tackled Cincinnati’s wideout Tee Higgins. Initially, Hamlin got up quickly after the tackle but suddenly collapsed on the ground and was rushed to the hospital after being administered CPR on the field.
President of the United States of America, Joe Biden has also been praying for the speedy recovery of the 24-year-old safety as reported by his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. President Biden and his aids saw this horrific event along with millions of fans as the game was televised.

POTUS is keeping Damar Hamlin in his prayers and hopes

Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, said in a briefing on Tuesday, “The president has seen the horrific news of Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest during the game last night — it was, as I said, horrific and millions of people saw that across the country. We hope his condition and his health improves quickly, and like the rest of the nation, our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and his teammates.”
Damar Hamlin’s uncle revealed that the young safety has actually died twice after collapsing on the field due to a cardiac arrest. This is why the medics worked on him for 16 minutes before transferring him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Hamlin has been reported to regain 50% of his breathing capabilities and doctors are currently monitoring his lung health.
The Hamlin family issued a statement wherein they thanked everyone for their support and asked them to continue praying for Damar. “On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time. We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, and donations from fans around the country,” the Hamlin family said.
The NFL has also released a statement regarding the suspended Bills-Bengals game and said that the game will not resume this week. They further cleared that the league is yet to make a decision on when to resume the game. The Week 18 schedule will continue as planned.
