The entire NFL worlds is showering its love and prayer on Damar Hamlin who suffered a cardiac arrest during the Bills-Bengals matchup. Critics and fans are also keeping Bengals WR Tee Higgins in their prayers as he was the one crashed into Hamlin, causing him to collapse to the ground.

Fans are coming together as one and reminding Higgins that it was not his fault, as he couldn’t possibly know that his collision could spiral out of hand. NFL stars are also coming out in support of the Bengals star wideout and asking fans to pray for his mental health.

With all of this love and support Tee Higgins has been receiving, former NFL linebacker Bart Scott blamed the 23-year-old for Damar Hamlin’s condition. While taking with Stephen A. Smith on First Take, he said that Higgins lowered his helmet to avoid being tackled by Hamlin and slammed himself into the former’s chest, resulting in his accident.

Bart Scott says Tee Higgins should’ve been penalized

Bart Scott said, “Right before the tackle, he lowers his helmet and throws his body into the chest. He’s standing up because he thinks he gotta chase Tee Higgins at an angle to make a tackle. So he didn’t expect Tee Higgins to launch his body back into him. They take it out of the game, but they don’t regulate it as much as possible. I expect the league will be a lot more vigilant in using that penalty“.

Fans rained down hell on Scott for his utterly insensitive comments. One can’t possibly contemplate what could’ve happened if Tee Higgins hadn’t lowered his helmet. There’s no way to ascertain for certain that Higgins was to blame here. Like all the Buffalo players, Higgins was pretty shaken up and visited the UC Medical Center, along with his mom, to check up on Hamlin and his family.

Dallas Cowboys’ rising star, linebacker Micah Parsons, tore Bart Scott a new one for his highly inappropriate comments about Higgins. Parson took to Twitter to express his disdain for Scott and wrote: “Yoo are we serious?!!?why do we let some people speak on tv?! This was a freak incident but putting fault on another player is wild! They should make some of these guys go over lines or something or not even give them a seat at the table!”

Fans also continued to reprimand Bart Scott for his unnecessary comments and further traumatize Higgins.
