“Kaepernick returns”: Raiders are giving Colin Kaepernick a workout, return to the NFL seems highly likely

Colin Kaepernick

Colin Rand Kaepernick is a well-known personality who hogged the limelight for quite some time a few years ago. Currently a civil rights activist, Colin played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. Back in 2016, Colin took a knee during the national anthem at the start of the games, a move that attracted polarizing reactions.

Colin was traded from the Denver Broncos to the 49ers back in 2011. In 2016, it felt like Colin’s NFL career ended. However, it seems like the man still has a lot of football left in him. Not long ago, Kaepernick was seen working out with all his might with the aim of making it back in the NFL.

Moreover, last month, Raiders owner Mark Davis claimed that Colin deserves another chance at the highest level giving a ray of hope to the ones who want to see him again on the field.“I believe in Colin Kaepernick,” Davis claimed. “He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League.

I still stand by it. If our coaches and General Manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms,” he stated. As it turns out, the Raiders are indeed giving Colin a workout. As per Ian Rapoport, the workout will be taking place today only.

This is a massive chance for Colin to establish himself on the highest level once again after so many years. Not long ago, Colin told I Am Athlete that he is willing to start from the ground level in order to put in everything he can to succeed again.

I know I have to find my way back in,” Kaepernick said. “So, yeah, if I have to come in as a backup, that fine. But that’s not where I’m staying. And when I prove that I’m a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such,” Colin said. It will be interesting to see if the Raiders do finally end up roping him in.
