The level of frustration and stress that the athletes face, especially during the season is incomparable. Keeping that in reference, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels called in an open team meeting for players to speak out loud about their frustration, as the team entered a critically stretched schedule.
It’s normal in the NFL, in any sport for players to get frustrated however many times, it gets splashed publicly. And for the Raiders, it’s for the team’s 3-4 start this season, as per the sources. Though not every player spoke, there were a few who came forward. Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, and Maxx Crosby were among those.

This open meeting turned out quite productive as many important issues were discussed, with nothing off the tables, in a passionate manner. Seems like coach McDaniels was observing the players for quite some time because this meeting was considered cathartic. It helped them get off things from their chest and get back to their form, as the team got ready to face off Detroit Lions for a Monday Night Football game.
While speaking on the matter, the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said:
Coach Josh McDaniels, I'm told, opened the floor in a team meeting on Thursday to players, allowing them to voice all the frustrations that at times have bubbled over publicly during the team's 3-4 start. Guys like Maxx Crosby, Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs all spoke up — but so did players from every area of the roster.
The timing and need for this open meeting became more essential when losing to the Bears resulted in breaking their two-game winning streak and lowered them back from Kansas City Chiefs, by three games, in the AFC West standings.
Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo cleared to play against Lions after missing a week
The good news for the Raiders is quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been cleared to get back on the field, especially as the game against the Lions is coming up, announced by coach McDaniels. Due to sustaining a back injury, Garoppolo had to miss last week’s game.

The quarterback gained the injury during the game against the New England Patriots, before the half time, earlier this month October 15. He was immediately taken to an area hospital in an ambulance for testing and scans, as his injury seemed worse and internal.
Garoppolo had to sit out his team’s 30-12 bizarre loss against the Chicago Bears last week. Now that he has been cleared to go, he said:
Just now trying to get ready for Detroit, that's a big one this week for us.
He joined the Raiders during this offseason, after signing a three-year free-agent contract worth $72.75 million.
