“Workout with Raiders was positive, but…”: Raiders ‘unlikely’ to offer a deal to Colin Kaepernick
Colin Kaepernick
Colin Rand Kaepernick is a name to reckon with in the world of the NFL. He played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. Back in 2016, Colin took a knee during the national anthem at the start of the games, a move that attracted polarizing reactions.
Colin was traded from the Denver Broncos to the 49ers back in 2011. In 2016, it felt like Colin’s NFL career ended. However, it seems like the man still has a lot of football left in him. Not long ago, Kaepernick was seen working out with all his might with the aim of making it back in the NFL.

Colin Kaepernick’s workout with the Raiders was positive
Moreover, last month, Raiders owner Mark Davis claimed that Colin deserves another chance at the highest level giving a ray of hope to the ones who want to see him again on the field.“I believe in Colin Kaepernick,” Davis claimed. “He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League.“
“I still stand by it. If our coaches and General Manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms,” he stated. As it turns out, the Raiders indeed ended up giving Colin a workout.
Moreover, what came as another twist in the tale, two more teams expressed interest in giving Kaepernick a chance. As reported by Mike Folio of ProFootballTalk, two franchises were keenly interested in Colin before the Raiders gave him a workout. However, there is no update on exactly which franchises were interested.
However, as reported by ESPN, a Colin Kaepernick-Raiders deal might actually not be imminent, even when the response from the franchise after the deal was noted to be very “positive.” The report from ESPN further stated that the franchise might be looking for a backup for Derek Carr but any instant deal with Colin doesn’t seem likely.
