On Thursday, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens took on their arch-rivals Cincinnati Bengals in their week 11 matchup. The Ravens ended up winning the crucial division game comfortably, but one particular moment in the game involving QB Jackson and wide receiver Zay Flowers caught the attention of the fans.
During the second quarter of the game, the Ravens were trailing by 3 points and were facing a crucial 3rd and 3 from their own 32-yard line. Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who received the snap from his center, faked a handoff to his running back before slinging a screen pass to his wide receiver Zay Flowers.
Flowers, who had cavalry in front of him blocking defenders, took the screen pass all the way to the house for 6 points. Flowers and the Ravens players began celebrating in the endzone without knowing there was a flag thrown on the field somewhere around midfield. The officials called a holding penalty, which negated the touchdown and moved the ball back 10 yards from its previous position. Check out the footage attached below.
In the end, the negated touchdown didn’t matter as the Ravens ended up winning the game comfortably. Jackson had a great game as he registered 318 scrimmage yards and 2 total touchdowns. Furthermore, the veteran wideout Odell Beckham Jr. had a massive game as he caught 4 passes for 116 yards while averaging 29 yards per reception.
In the end, the Ravens managed to secure a crucial 34-20 victory against their division rivals and are currently sitting at the top of the AFC North division with a record of 8 wins and 3 losses.

Fans on social media couldn’t believe the referees calling a holding penalty on the Ravens, which negated a 68-yard touchdown pass by their star quarterback Lamar Jackson. Some believe that there was no penalty occurred on the play but the refs still called it.

Nonetheless, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are currently sitting at the top of their division and are in the race to acquire the No.1 seed in the AFC. Jackson has also inserted himself into the NFL MVP conversation as he has consistently put up good performances.

Next, Jackson and the Ravens are scheduled to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in their week 12 matchup next Sunday. They would look to make a statement by defeating the potential playoff team Chargers in that game.
