Republican anti-woke media has started targeting Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in new campaign
Republicans don't see the union of two people whom they consider against their ideals a good sign for the nation.

Taylor Swift set the internet ablaze when she attended the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears games last Sunday to cheer for rumored boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce. Since then, the duo has been on the receiving end of a barrage of criticism from Republican representatives.
Well, Swift and the nation’s opposition have been in an ongoing feud since she extended her support to the LGBTQ+ community. This did not sit well with the right-leaning political group that has a conservative view on the matter of gender. Not only are their laws unfavorable for the queer community, but some of them even restrict their freedom as human beings, which Swift dislikes.
Her beef with former President Donald Trump is no secret. It’s safe to say that they don’t see eye-to-eye. Before the 2021 presidential election, Taylor became very vocal about the alleged atrocities the far-right Trump government was causing to the people of the country, especially the people of color. In reply, the 77-year-old said that his liking for Swift’s music had lowered by 25%.
Even Travis Kelce is on the firing line. The Super Bowl winner was dubbed ‘woke’ for endorsing Bud Light in an ad. Why? They had previously featured transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney in an effort to expand to other markets.
Now that Swift and Kelce are dating and she is poised to make her second appearance in the Chiefs’ corner this Sunday, the right wing is targeting both of them. Although their angle is not exactly clear, there’s a hint that they do not appreciate the pair being the talk of the country.
The Republicans are going all out to rain over the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce parade
There will be very few people left in the world who haven’t heard the name Taylor Swift, and that’s how big her brand has become since her 2006 debut. Since then, she has sold an estimated 114 million album units worldwide, winning 12 Grammy Awards in the process, along with a Primetime Emmy, 40 American Music Awards, and 29 Billboard Music Awards.
But through the eyes of a staunch Republican, she is a bad influence on the people of the USA. Then she goes on to have an alleged romance with Travis Kelce, who campaigned for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which hardline right-wingers were against from the beginning. Some Republicans even remarked that it was harmful to the body.
Then there was the Budlight boycott. It cost the parent beer company some $395 million in US sales. All because they did not like the actor’s sexual orientation.
Famous FOX News anchor Megyn Kelly was one of the first to speak against the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce relationship. “He’s super woke. [Now] he’s with Taylor; he endorsed Bud Light post-controversy,” she said. “He’s also pushing the Pfizer vax.”
Author Nick Adams (endorsed by Donald Trump) called for a boycott of the NFL on X (formerly Twitter). “Taylor Swift is a Marxist, and Travis Kelce is a fool. Boycott the NFL!” he said.
However, there’s a surprising name that has shown support for the air. FOX News’ Sean Hannity, although not a fan of Swift and Kelce’s views, said, as per the Daily Mail, “We live in a free country; they are entitled to their views, as much as I might disagree.”
“I know that Travis is awake; his Bud Light; COVID shot. If you want to listen and get advice from a football player, I don’t care.”
Even though Hannity is on the opposite side of the spectrum, he recognized their talent. He wished the best for the couple. “I hope it works for them.”
