The Dallas Cowboys often get criticized if they fail to deliver at the right moment and the right time. Last week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers was a perfect example of the Cowboys choking on an important match. In their blowout 42-10 loss, the Cowboys’ offense, led by Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, failed to create any threat to the 49ers’ defensive half.

After the game, a lot of analysts criticized the Dallas wide receiver as he failed to create a difference. Richard Sherman is one of them. In the recent episode of the show ‘Undisputed’, the former player-turned-analyst vehemently criticized the WR and said that he is no longer a top-tier receiver anymore. Sherman also called Lamb overrated.

If you think he’s a bona fide [No. 1 wide receiver], then yeah, that’s overrated,” Sherman said. “Then you’re saying that he’s in a conversation with Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Ja’Marr Chase, Stefon Diggs, A.J. Brown, Cooper Kupp, Deebo Samuel, Terry McLaurin, and Mike Evans. You’re saying that he’s in that conversation?” He threw the question to Skip Bayless, whose admiration for the Cowboys is known to everyone.

The former player did not stop there as he kept on, “Then you’re not watching it. The conversation he’s in is with guys like Jaylen Waddle, like Garrett Wilson, Tyler Lockett, Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk, Chris Godwin — those are really good guys. I’m not saying they’re bad receivers. I’m saying the caliber of receivers we’re talking about.”

How has CeeDee Lamb’s performance this season so far?

The wide receiver for the Cowboys has done well this season. In five matches, the player had 27 receives for 358 yards. He registered a touchdown and 49 long gains. His best performance came against the New York Giants as he registered 11 receives for 143 yards.

There are speculations that the wide receiver may leave the Cowboys at the end of the season. Recently, Jerry Jones made a remark on CeeDee Lamb’s frustration of not getting enough opportunities. Jones said, “I don’t know about that. What I want to see is the ball spread around to several WRs/TEs.” The remark sparked the controversy that Lamb might be ending his tenure after this season due to limited exposure.
