“I would obviously answer the GOAT, but…”: Rob Gronkowski explains how he’ll respond if he gets a call from Tom Brady to join him at the Bucs once again

“I would obviously answer the GOAT, but…”: Rob Gronkowski explains how he’ll respond if he gets a call from Tom Brady to join him at the Bucs once again

Rob Gronkowski could be the missing piece that Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need.

Rob Gronkowski is one of the greatest tight ends to ever play the game. Not long ago, the superstar of the game announced his retirement from the NFL for the second time. After 11 seasons in the league that comprised of four Super Bowl titles, four First-team All-Pro, and a plethora of records, Gronk as he’s affectionately called by his teammates decided to end his glorious journey.

Gronkowski had initially retired back in 2019 when his longtime teammate and close friend Tom Brady left the New England Patriots to join the Buccaneers. The 33-year-old tight end had cited mental and physical issues as the reason for his retirement which he suffered during his 9-year-long stint with the New England Patriots.

However, Rob soon decided to come out of retirement to play alongside his great friend Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. As we all know, Brady has unretired and is set to play the 2022 season, so now, fans are speculating if even Gronk will come out of the retirement yet again to reunite with Tom for one last time.

In a recent interaction with ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Gronk stated that he is in no mood this time to take the field again. “I’m done with football. Love the game. Love the game, and definitely blessed with all the opportunities the game of football has given me and the relationships, obviously here in New England for nine years and down in Tampa for two but no, done with football,” he claimed.

Talking about his future endeavors, Gronk stated, “I’m stepping my feet into the business world, the business ventures. Just seeing what’s out there, and find my place.” When Reiss asked what he’ll do if he gets a call from Tom, the legendary TE said, “I would answer obviously.”

I would obviously answer the greatest quarterback of all time, ask him how he’s doing, ‘I’m doing good,’ but no, I’m not going back to football,” he further said. Obviously, the world would love to see the iconic Brady-Gronk duo dominating the game, however, this time, it seems the tight end is in no mood to take the field.
