Rob Gronkowski is one of the greatest tight ends to ever play the game. Not long ago, the superstar of the game announced his retirement from the NFL for the second time. After 11 seasons in the league that comprised of four Super Bowl titles, four First-team All-Pro, and a plethora of records, Gronk as he’s affectionately called by his teammates decided to end his glorious journey.
Gronkowski had initially retired back in 2019 when his longtime teammate and close friend Tom Brady left the New England Patriots to join the Buccaneers. The 33-year-old tight end had cited mental and physical issues as the reason for his retirement which he suffered during his 9-year-long stint with the New England Patriots.

However, Rob soon decided to come out of retirement to play alongside his great friend Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. As we all know, Brady unretired and is set to play in the 2022 season, so it was evident that fans will speculate if even Gronk will come out of the retirement yet again to reunite with Tom for one last time.
However, an interaction with ESPN’s Mike Reiss a little while ago, Gronk stated that he is in no mood this time to take the field again. “I’m done with football. Love the game. Love the game, and definitely blessed with all the opportunities the game of football has given me and the relationships, obviously here in New England for nine years and down in Tampa for two but no, done with football,” he had claimed.
However, Gronk’s girlfriend Camille Kostek recently said something which has again led the fans into believing that the legendary TE might unretire again. “I am an honest lady, and honestly, in my heart, I didn’t feel like this one is a forever one. So, I think maybe he’ll come back again,” Kostek said, as reported by Sports Illustrated.
“I feel like him and Tom Brady are just having fun like, ‘Retired, not retired, retired, not retired,'” she further stated. When Gronk made it absolutely clear that he is not going to take the field again, almost everyone was convinced that history might not repeat itself.
However, Kostek, who obviously knows Gronk better than many has again ignited hope in the hearts of NFL fans who want to see the TE take the field at least one more time.
