The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a good last couple of months, after Tom Brady announced the decision to make a comeback into the franchise after announcing his retirement in February. The 2020 Super Bowl champions are now looking to lure in his close friend, Rob Gronkowski into the side for another season.

Rob Gronkowski played the last season for the Buccaneers but is currently a free agent, after his contract expired. The 32-year old tight end is officially undecided on his NFL future but the franchise are doing all they can to re-sign him after training camp.

The move for Gronkowski will also be viable for the franchises given they have a salary cap of $12.167 million in salary-cap space for 2022. Gronkowski earned base salaries of $9.25 million and $8 million with the Bucs the past two seasons. He also reached $1 million in performance incentives last year.
