The Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson once again proved his worth, this time in the Divisional round of the playoffs against the Houston Texans. With his four-touchdown game, the quarterback blew the Texans out. The Ravens have moved on to the AFC Championship Game where they will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs.
After the resounding victory and the performance, the former quarterback and present-day analyst Robert Griffin III shared a message for all the people who doubted that Jackson would not be at his usual best for some reason.
Pointing fingers at the haters, the former QB shared a post that depicted Kermit the Frog sitting alone in front of a window and starting aimlessly. The message from Griffin was clear. He sarcastically said that the haters were drowning in disappointment and grief.
Well, RGIII seems to be an old fan of the Ravens QB as he has taken Ravens’ signal-caller’s side multiple times in the past. A few months back, when the Ravens beat the Bengals, RGIII left no some unturned to praise the quarterback. It was the game where Joe Burrow got injured and his season was over. A few people discussed that if Burrow had not gotten the injury, then it would have been very difficult for Jackson to clinch things.
Last year too the analyst expressed vocal support for the quarterback. When Jackson was suffering from the brutal knee injury, RG III batted in favor of him.
Lamar Jackson is the frontrunner for the MVP Award
Jackson is the front-runner for the 2023 season MVP Award this year. This season was his fittest since his 2019 MVP season. The Ravens have looked different in his presence. With passing and rushing touchdowns, the quarterback has created a continuous threat to the opponents’ hearts.
Lamar Jackson showcased a formidable performance during the regular season, amassing an impressive total of 3,678 passing and 821 rushing yards. His proficiency in the end zone was evident with 24 passing and five rushing touchdowns. Jackson’s ability to protect the ball was notable, as he threw only 7 interceptions, doing so with the Quarterback Rating (QBR) of 64.7.
However, Jackson’s presence was not sure though ahead of the season. The quarterback was having some contract issues. He was not satisfied with the contract and asked for a raise. It led to some trouble for the Ravens, as Jackson was on the verge of leaving. Nonetheless, the QB later signed a contract, and the rest is history.
