The Denver Broncos had made up their mind by giving up quarterback Russell Wilson ahead of the upcoming NFL draft and it appears there’s no way to change their minds. Given the new league starts on March 14, the franchise will be releasing the quarterback then.

But the Broncos haven’t come to this season very easily as there has been a boatload of controversies surrounding Wilson’s future with the Broncos. It all started when the quarterback revealed how the franchise and head coach Sean Payton gave him an ultimatum to either get benched or let go of the injury reserve clause from his contract worth $37 million.

Since it happened, many analysts and players– even the NFL, have come forward in support of the former Seattle Seahawks’ star quarterback and called out the Broncos for being unfair. In the end, it was foreseen: Wilson’s potential departure from the Broncos.

In light of the Broncos’ decision to release Wilson, the sports analyst Robert Griffin III fired up on Tuesday morning, on the recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up

Griffin III said:

When you bring in a quarterback of that caliber and you cater it to him, you have to fully cater it to him. Not put him in an offense with a first-time head coach, a first-time play-caller, a first-time GM and a young team and expect him to make chicken out of a chicken shit! Bottom line is Russell Wilson is a starting quarterback in the NFL. He's easily a top 20 quarterback in the NFL.

He called out the franchise for treating Wilson so poorly and was frustrated that he didn’t think twice before cursing live on the air.
