HC Robert Saleh reveals BOLD strategy of ‘multiple series play’ for Aaron Rodgers in upcoming Jets vs. Giants clash
Saleh previously remarked that Rodgers will only have a brief stretch against the Giants.

Aaron Rodgers will make his New York Jets debut against their cross-town rivals, the New York Giants, in their preseason friendly on Saturday. But the question is: how long will he play? Head coach Robert Saleh has some theories.
FOX Sports anchor Craig Carton sat down with Saleh after practice and asked how many plays Rodgers would make against the Giants. While he did not divulge the specific “number of plays in mind,” Saleh has some idea about what he wants from the 39-year-old over the weekend.
“I want to get a couple of transitions,” he said while filming for the Carton Show. “You go to the sidelines, make adjustments, and come back out after the adjustments are made. He is planning to run that call a few times, and “If it goes nine plays and the way we want on the first drive, I’ll just pull him.”
Carton also caught up with tight end C. J. Uzomah, who is entering the second year of his NFL career and sounded thrilled to play alongside a Super Bowl winner. “I’ll give you a great example at today’s practice,” Uzomah told Carlton. Rodgers apparently saw something during the huddle and wanted to try a new play that left Uzomah confused. “We don’t practice that. We’ve never done that,’ and he goes, ‘Do it,'” the 30-year-old concluded.
The Jets have accumulated an exciting crop of players that includes some old teammates of Rodgers and a few explosive rookies. Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb are already familiar with the Pro Bowler’s tactics from their time at the Green Bay Packers. Furthermore, they have the 2022 defensive and offensive rookies of the year, Garrett Wilson and Bryce Hall. Moreover, they bolstered the squad with the addition of Dalvin Cook.

Rich Eisen can’t wrap his head around Robert Saleh choosing to play Aaron Rodgers in a preseason game

Self-proclaimed New York Jets fan Rich Eisen had a cold feat after Robert Saleh announced Aaron Rodgers would play against the Giants. In one of the recent segments of the Rich Eisen Show, he voiced the collective fear of Jets fans.
“I might just run a horror movie instead Saturday night, not watch the game,” he said.”I’m going to be watching through my fingers.” Eisen highlighted that it’s a massive risk for the Jets. If Rodgers pulls something up, then it will affect the season. He pointed out that former quarterback Mark Sanchez got hurt in a similar fashion. Aaron Rodgers last played a preseason game in 2018 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
