Another day of disappointment for the New York Jets and their fans as the team lost against the New York Patriots by the margin of 10-15. It was a low-scoring game but the Patriots somehow cliched the much-needed victory.

It was another poor display by the quarterback Zach Wilson who is replacing the legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers after the latter was ruled out due to his injury on Achilles. Wilson was decent in the match against the Buffalo Bills. He helped his team to grab the much-needed victory. However, the player failed to continue his form in the next two games. Against the Dallas Cowboys, his arm play was poor, and the team suffered heavily as they relied on him.

Nonetheless, Wilson is enjoying the backing of his head coach Robert Saleh. In the post-match presentation, Saleh addressed the press, spoke about the game, and said that the player would definitely start in the coming games.

Yeah, he’s fine,” Saleh said in response to the queries of the media on Wilson as a starter. “We knew that even with Aaron [Rodgers] at quarterback we knew that there was gonna be some hiccups along the way because of the new offense.”

Saleh further said, “The new play-caller, the new [offensive] line, just new players on the offensive side of the ball. Now you’ve got this curveball that was sent to us and so they’re acclimating. They’re gonna get better, but it’s still very early in the season.”

This is the consecutive loss for the New York Jets. They grabbed 10 points in the game vs the Cowboys. It failed to go beyond against the Patriots. In both of these games, the offense performed poorly.

Zach Wilson’s disastrous performance in back-to-back games

Zach Wilson was poor against the Dallas Cowboys. The Jets gave up their running play against the Cowboys and relied solely on Wilson’s arm play. The strategy backfired on them since the QB failed to meet the expectations.

He was disappointing in the game against the Patriots as well. The quarterback covered only 157 yards and completed 18 of his 36 passes. He was sacked on three occasions and lost a total of 24 yards. The QB failed to throw a single touchdown pass and was outside of one fourth-quarter drive. One of his worst performances in recent times. The only saving grace is that this is his first game without an interception.

The head coach Robert Saleh has to work a lot to bring the player in rhythm. The Jets drastically need a win, but that seems unlikely as they go against the Kansas City Chiefs next.
