The Philadelphia Eagles strengthened the squad by signing the running back Saquon Barkley this offseason. The team has a brilliant offense, and it is expected that Barkley would make them stronger with his inclusion.

This offseason, two running backs stole the limelight. First, it was Saquon Barkley, who was traded from the Giants to their NFC East counterparts. Then it was Derrick Henry, who was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.

In this context, many analysts had a discussion that who would be more impactful for their teams. In addition to that, the analysts in the show First Take tried to understand whose individual impact would be more.

Ryan Clark, without any hesitation, claimed that it would be Saquon Barkley who would take over Henry in creating an impact for his team.

Saquon Barkley because I think he is going to change that team (Eagles) more than Derrick Henry going to do in the Ravens. Think of what Christian McCaffrey was able to do when he became a member of the San Francisco 49ers.

Despite acknowledging the problem that Barkley would not get the ideal guidance, Clark relied on his brilliance. He said that the RB adds an explosiveness to the team that would be a great help for the Eagles.

Derrick Henry has better stats than Saquon Barkley

Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley do not have much age difference. Henry is 30 while Barkley is 27. Despite being in the latter half of his career, Henry has more efficient numbers than Barkley. As one of the most experienced RBs in the league, Henry was second in the most rushing yards (1167) list last season. He was also first in carries (280). In both categories, he surpassed Barkley (247 carries for 942 rushing yards) by a huge difference.

Henry can prove Clark’s recent prediction wrong in the coming time. Contrary to Ryan Clark, his FS1 counterpart, Skip Bayless, believes that with his help, Lamar Jackson can win his first Super Bowl in the coming time. The competition between the two RBs is going to be fierce and both can come up with great performances.

Henry was expected to receive a lot of calls from other teams. However, it was the Ravens who got hold of him. It will be seen how the 30-year-old veteran RB performs alongside Lamar Jackson and Co.
