“The Seahawks are a disaster,” NFL analyst Adam Schein absolutely RIPS into the QB competition between Drew Lock and Geno Smith
Seattle QBs
When the Seattle Seahawks decided to part ways with Russell Wilson, they appear to have overlooked one, or a few critical details. Granted, the deal was strong and clearly made with the right mindset, but the franchise does not appear to have taken the time to consider who will replace him once he leaves.
As a result, they’ve gone from having a certain future Hall of Famer to have two QB options who aren’t even in the top 50 in the league. No top 50 for a team that wants to compete for everything? That is not a story one wants to tell.
Drew Lock and Gene Smith are both great athletes in the sense that they give their all on the practice field, and actually seem to be currently in the midst of fierce competition for the QB position. Even so, challenging each other would be pointless if they were unable to instil fear or intimidation in their opponents.
A quarterback is a team’s Onager in some ways. A siege weapon capable of annihilating the opposition in a single blow. However, neither of these players possesses the necessary skills. As the preseason comes to a close, this fall from grace has the Seahawks found themselves in the midst of a No. 1 crisis.

Who will eventually pin down the starting quarterback position at the Seattle Seahawks?
This situation has created a sense of fascinating story surrounding the Franchise. Perhaps “questionable” is a better word. There have been several voices of discontent, and most recently, Adam Schein decided to blister through the Seattle Outfit. “This is the most embarrassing, saddest, pathetic quarterback competition of all time between Drew Lock and Geno Smith,” he is quoted as saying. I believe it is safe to say that he is not a fan.
While his remarks may have been exaggerated in order to be inflammatory, there is no denying the points he has made. The way Seattle has handled the situation suggests that they had no plan, or that if they did, it was promptly abandoned. There is no way to predict how Carroll and his team’s gamble will play out, but it will undoubtedly be a fun few months in the North-East.
