“What’s the point of complaining?” Sha’Carri Richardson questions the supporters of Jerry Jones after his participation in the 1957 anti-segregation protests came to light
Sha'Carri Richardson Jerry Jones
Jerry Jones is one of the most influential team owners in the NFL. The billionaire is the owner of one of the most liked football teams in America, the Dallas Cowboys.
Therefore, the whole country was shocked when Jones’ picture from 1957 went viral, in which he was seen as a part of the anti-segregation protests and everyone started to accuse him of racism due to that.
Many famous people and celebrities have called out the 80-year-old for his actions when he was just 14 or 15 years old. The most recent addition to this long list is US Track and Field athlete Sha’Carri Richardson.
A picture of Jerry from 1957 went viral where the Cowboys owner is seen standing back in the crowd of people who are blocking the minorities from entering the High School during the anti-segregation protests.
The 80-year-old has many supporters who believe that the incident happened decades ago and things have changed since then. However, Sha’Carri Richardson has a problem with that and said if the people are still supporting him, then what’s the point of complaining about it?
“There’s a lot of talking about this but If Y’all still gone support then what’s the point of complaining?” Richardson stated on her Instagram story.
Richardson believes that people should either take action against Jones or stop talking about the thing altogether. Although many are speaking about the picture just so they can make people believe that the Cowboys owner is being framed by the cancel culture.
Jerry Jones has found himself in trouble after almost 60 years
Jerry Jones was never called a racist before this picture went viral. Though after the picture went viral, everyone started to bandwagon and blame the person for things he may or may not have done.
We can’t say if the Cowboys owner was right or wrong, but what we do know is that a person should know every aspect of the situation before making a judgment.
Jones spoke about the situation and stated that he didn’t know the seriousness of the situation and was there just out of curiosity. “I don’t know that I or anybody anticipated or had a background of knowing … what was involved,” Jones said. “It was more a curious thing.”
The Cowboys owner is in a precarious position currently. However, the same can’t be said about his team, which is in flying form as they are set to firmly challenge for the Super Bowl with other favorites like the Chiefs, Bills, and the Eagles.
