The New York Giants are heading to the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and their fans are feeling pretty good about their chances of winning it. However, Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe doesn’t believe the Giants can withstand the wrath of the Vikings All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson as he bets on the third-year receiver to have a ‘burst out’ game against New York’s defense.

Speaking on his show UNDISPUTED with Skip Bayless and a special guest, Michael Rapoport, Sharpe lauded Daniel Jones‘ improvement but still said that he doesn’t expect the Giants QB to pull off a victory against the Vikings.

“Let me tell you how much the Giants trusted Daniel Jones. They trusted him so much they declined the fifth-year option,” said Sharpe about Daniel Jones. “I will give you this. He’s played much better this year than he has in years past but is he playing for a contract, or is this a train that heading in the right direction.”

The former Denver Broncos tight end acknowledged the Giants’ tough defense but still picked Jefferson to have a stupendous outing against them. “The Giants are a good team defensively, I like Dexter Lawrence, I like what they do, but, Justin Jefferson is going to have a burst-out game,” said Sharpe on his show UNDISPUTED. “He’s long overdue, cause the last two games have not gone according to the plan so I can see him getting 15-16 targets, going over a 150.”

The 3-time Super Bowl champion also picked the Vikings to win the game and eliminate the Giants from the postseason. “The Giants got a decent pass rush, but you’re (Giants) not winning this game, you’re gonna be just like my Broncos, home in about a.. about 3 days,” said Shannon Sharpe about the Giants-Vikings matchup.

Will Justin Jefferson shine under the bright lights of the playoffs against the Giants?

Justin Jefferson was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings as the 22nd overall pick in the 202 NFL draft. The LSU product soon took the league by storm as he was named a Pro Bowler in just his first season in the league.

Since then, he has developed into an All-Pro wide receiver and a reliable target for the Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. In his 3 years as a starter, Jefferson has caught 324 passes for 4,825 yards and 25 touchdowns.

He has been selected to Pro Bowl in all his three years and he just got named to the All-Pro team for the first time in his career.

However, the star wideout will be focused on his first playoff game in his young NFL career as he prepares to face the tough and gritty New York Giants in the wildcard game this weekend.
