Aaron Rodgers is a Packers legend and is one of the best QBs to ever play for them. Rodgers has evolved from a young, immature kid to one of the veterans of the game. The 39-year-old is still going strong and still is the most important key to the Packers’ offense.
There was lots of speculation this season stating that the Packers QB will retire at the end of the season and bid farewell to the sport he loves for good. Rodgers has also hinted toward a possible retirement. However, Shannon Sharpe from the Undisputed believes that he’s going nowhere and will be back next year.
According to Sharpe, Aaron Rodgers doesn’t have a reason to leave but has so many reasons to stay. The Packers squad is young and in transition. This season they were getting used to each other but the next year they will be back stronger than ever. Moreover, Rodgers also has a contract that pays him $50 million a year, so why leave that?
“Aaron Rodgers ain’t going nowhere. That man ain’t walking away from $50M a year, he’d be a fool.” Sharpe stated on the Undisputed. “If I’m Aaron Rodgers, I’m definitely coming back,”
Sharpe also pointed out that the receivers around Rodgers are improving considerably and aren’t playing the same way they did at the start of the season. This has also shown in their game as they are hoping for a playoff spot this season, but it’ll be a tough journey.
Can Aaron Rodgers sneak the Packers into the playoffs?
Aaron Rodgers and Co had a disappointing start to the season but will look to end it on a high as the Packers currently have a real chance to make it to the NFL playoffs.
They have three regular-season gas remaining. However, all three of those games are against opponents who have a better record than them, but they have a slight advantage.
The weather can play a strong role in these games as 2 out of the 3 games will be played on Green Bay’s home turf Lambeau Field, which will most likely be covered in snow. This gives the Packers a huge advantage as many teams struggle to play in the snow.
Although they have a slight advantage, Aaron Rodgers will still have to be at his best to drive his team to the playoffs as they face the Dolphins in Miami next week before playing against the Vikings and the Lions on home turf.
