Patrick Mahomes is currently contesting in a close-knit race with Eagles QB Jalen Hurts for the formidable MVP trophy. The Chiefs QB has been a standout player for his team this season and is instrumental to their impeccable record.

The 27 year old QB is currently the most consistent QB in the league and that’s been the case since many seasons now. Mahomes is playing really well this season and could win his second MVP trophy. Although there is competition from Jalen Hurts, Shannon Sharpe from the Undisputed thinks otherwise.

Sharpe believes that Pat Mahomes is currently the best QB in the league and he is clear of all the competition. The 27-year-old has revolutionized his position and is considered an heir to the great Tom Brady.

Mahomes has been in conversation for the league MVP, and Super Bowl MVP for consecutive seasons now. The Chiefs QB has always found a way to shine and this season was no different.

“Until someone gets a Super Bowl MVP, regular season MVP and is in the MVP discussion every year, what are we talking about?” Shannon Sharpe stated on the Undisputed. “It’s not even close, Patrick Mahomes is the only answer, he’s the best QB in the NFL.”

Sharpe believes that Mahomes is miles apart from other QBs currently in the league. He is on his way to break records set by legendary QBs like Drew Brees and Peyton Manning in just 5 seasons.

Patrick Mahomes’ form was expected to falter after WR Tyreek Hill moved to the Dolphins due to various issues with the Chiefs organization. Hill was instrumental to the Chiefs and Mahomes and his absence was expected to affect the QB massively.

However, Mahomes is currently on the cusp of breaking numerous records and winning the second MVP award this season. The only other threat he will face in the playoffs will be Joe Burrow of the Bengals who is lethal during the 4th quarter and is infamous for orchestrating difficult comebacks.

The Chiefs have clinched the playoff spot comfortably and look to play their third Super Bowl final in the Mahomes era. However, the journey is still long and Pat Mahomes has a lot to prove.

However, for some analysts Patrick Mahomes is the clear answer even if he doesn’t win the Super Bowl this season as the Chiefs QB has flair and is fun to watch. The Chiefs will play the struggling Denver Broncos in their second-last game of the regular season.
