“A Black guy would never get a job like this” Shannon Sharpe makes bold RACISM claim after Jim Irsay’s hiring of Jeff Saturday
The Colts made the headlines when they recently announced that their new coach is Jeff Saturday. Fans and analysts were shocked as Saturday has no prior coaching experience in the NFL and is a newbie.
The Colts were getting brutally roasted by the media for putting their faith in an inexperienced coach. Many have also accused the Colts of nepotism, as Saturday has just coached one football game ever in his high school career and now will be coaching one of the 32 teams in the NFL.
NFL analyst Shannon Sharpe didn’t take this news well and decided to hit back at the Colts furiously. Sharpe brought up many reasons why Jeff Saturday isn’t the ideal man for the job, but the most notable of them was when he accused the Colts of racism.
Sharpe was furious and stated , “a Black man would never be handed a job like that” on the Undisputed. Sharpe then accused the Colts of doing what they want and having no regard for what their fans wanted.
Shannon Sharpe later went on a long rant and criticized the whole Colts’ organization for nepotism and hiring the person they want to without looking at their skills and credentials.

Colts owner Jim Irsay is glad that Jeff Saturday doesn’t have any experience
While Jeff Saturday is being criticized by almost everyone for having no experience, Colts owner Jim Irsay thinks otherwise. Irsay was positive about hiring Saturday and stated that experience doesn’t matter to him.
“I’M GLAD HE DOESN’T HAVE ANY NFL EXPERIENCE. I’M GLAD HE HASN’T LEARNED THE FEAR THAT’S IN THIS LEAGUE BECAUSE IT’S TOUGH FOR ALL OUR COACHES,” JIM IRSAY SAID. “THEY’RE AFRAID, THEY GO TO ANALYTICS, AND IT GETS DIFFICULT. … HE DOESN’T HAVE THAT FEAR.“
This does not happen often in the NFL, where an inexperienced coach is hired. Usually, a coach has to prove himself to a college football level and then work as an assistant coach while proving his worth. Then someone will give you a chance as the HC.
This move has created lots of controversy in the NFL world and if Jeff Saturday wants to stay as the Colts coach for long, then he will have to get results starting with the undefeated Eagles next week.
