“SHOCKING” Matthew Stafford labeled RACIST on social media for preferential treatment of WRs during Rams vs Bills season opener

Matthew Stafford and the LA Rams didn’t have a great start to their Super Bowl defense campaign as they suffered a sounding 21 points defeat to the Buffalo Bills in the season opener at SoFI Stadium. The game was not the best for Stafford who was sacked 3 times by the Bills’ defense and was picked off 3 times but that’s not what has Twitter on alert.

A huge debate has been sparked about Stafford with people questioning whether Stafford is a racist. The Rams receiving core played a huge role in them winning the Lombardi with Triple Crown winner Cooper Kupp leading the charge, the expectations were huge for this season. In the season opener, only Kupp rose to the challenge although him being Stafford’s favorite target may have something to do with it. Kupp may be too much of a favorite for Stafford and Twitter believes the reason is deeper than him being the best receiver on the team.

A stat by Pro Football Focus is being referenced on Twitter according to which Stafford throws more to white receivers than black receivers and Twitter seems to think that it’s because he is racist. The most common reason cited is his single throw to Rams’ free agent signing Allen Robinson.

Although many rightly pointed out that for a major part of his career his best wide receiver in Detroit was a man named Megatron who’s now a first Ballet Hall of Famer. Calvin Johnson “Megatron” also has the best receiving season in history just above Copper Kupp’s last season with one thing in common and that is their Quarterback Matthew Stafford. The Rams QB might not be paying attention to it all as he would be working to make improvements so his team could repeat their success of the last season.
