Taylor Swift or Simone Biles: who is the bigger celebrity? Well, to ‘Swifties’ no one is bigger than Taylor. Both Swift and Biles dropped by Lambeau Field to cheer for their men, who were on opposing teams as the Green Bay Packers took on the Kansas City Chiefs.
One might not put Travis Kelce and Jonathan Owens in the same sentence; they don’t have to either, because of their prior history with each other or because they are teammates. However, they were brought together by their beaus, Swift and Biles.
It has more or less become customary for Biles to attend when Owens is playing in Wisconsin. Also, before every game, she gives the Packers’ safety a smooch as a good luck charm. To her credit, it seems to be working because the Cheese Wizards are yet to lose at home whenever she drops by to say hello.
The same can be said for Taylor and Kelce. Since her first appearance during the Chicago Bears game, the Chiefs have remained unbeaten when she sits in the comfort of a VIP suite. It sounds harmless, but not in this case—not during Sunday’s game in the foggy, windy weather that Green Bay is known for.
Social media couldn’t fathom Simone Biles getting poor hospitality, unlike Taylor Swift
As Jordan Love continued his rich vein of form, throwing a couple of quickfire touchdowns, a storm was brewing online. A section of social media noticed that Simone Biles continued to stand pitch-side in the cold, snowy weather while Taylor Swift was enjoying the insulated comforts of the VIP suite at Lambeau Field alongside Brittany Mahomes.
They did not take it too kindly. Both are national icons. Biles has seven Olympic medals to her name, and Swift is a 12-time Grammy winner. So according to the disappointed netizens, the treatment should have been equal.
The Packers won the game 27-19, and for the first time in 2023, they are a.500 team with a 6-6 record. Owens even managed to carve out a moment of his own. During the dying embers in the fourth quarter, the 28-year-old rammed into Patrick Mahomes. It was judged unnecessary roughness on the Chiefs quarterback because he was already out of bounds.
Owens finished the game with five hits, while his QB capped off with 25 completions for 267 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught the ball four times for a 72-yard gain. AJ Dillon had the best rushing statistics, with 18 carries for 73 yards.
