The NFL regular season has come to an end after 18 long weeks. Now the final teams that remain will witness a reset in their records as it is 0-0 all over again. From this point forward, it is to win every game or be knocked out by every team.

The Philadelphia Eagles began the year off on a hot streak, going 10-1; however, in the final games of their season, the team’s performance went down a spiral.

The Eagles went from being the undisputed champions of the NFC East to the second-best team in the division. Now they will need to face off against Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wildcard Round to further progress. Skip Bayless of Undisputed on FS1 believes the Eagles will be knocked out in this very round.

I believe the Eagles will lose at the Buccaneers a week from tonight....the Bucs will put them out of their misery because this Eagles team has lost its way, its lost its momentum, its lost its heart, its lost its confidence, its lost all direction, and who it is and what direction it's headed.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense has gotten worse as the season progressed

Skip Bayless has lost faith in this team because it no longer seems motivated and hungry enough like it did at the beginning of the year.

In the final six weeks of the regular season, Philly has gone 1-5, losing to teams such as the New York Giants twice.

I told you guys from day 1...this defense is not very good. It's torchable and it's gettable...they're not what you think they are on defense...I don't believe in them. I don't trust them.
The analyst further stated

The Eagles went from being the best team in the NFL that was bound to be in the divisional round to a mediocre team that now has to fight in the wildcard round.

The reason for this is the obvious change in coaching. While Nick Sirianni remains the team’s head coach, his coordinators Jonathan Gannon and Shane Steichen both moved after getting head coaching opportunities with the Cardinals and the Colts, respectively.

This year, Sean Desai has been unable to make this defense perform at the same elite level. The Eagles are either going to play great or terrible; there is no middle ground with them.
