“It’s just bad football,” Skip Bayless is unimpressed by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ narrow win against the Arizona Cardinals
Skip Bayless did not like what he saw from Tom Brady and the Bucs last night.
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have struggled this season. The team has an underwhelming record of 7-8. Bucs barely scraped past the Arizona Cardinals last night as they won 19-16, though they got the dub, it did not really feel like it. Undoubtedly the team has struggled on offense and defense throughout. Tom Brady who has been one of the more consistent quarterbacks in the league for a long time has struggled this season.
Skip Bayless, the analyst for FOX Sports and the star of the debate show Undisputed has been one of the biggest fans of Tom Brady for the longest time. However, after watching last night’s performance, even he could not believe what he was witnessing. Skip was shocked by Tom Brady’s performance in the game last night, take a look at what he had to say.
“If I could go to a 12 on the unimpressive scale, I would go to a 12…If there is such a thing in the NFL as a moral loss, this was a moral loss for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers…If I’m a Buc on that flight back, I’m thinking, ‘Who the hell are we?’.” The analyst went off on the team.
Skip Bayless dubs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers victory as ‘discouraging’ for the team’s morale:
Bayless believes the Bucs will have a lot of self-reflection to do on their flight back, he goes on to add, “What are we doing? What has happened to our quarterback and what has happened to everything around the quarterback?” In the league, a win is a win, no matter how you get there, however, the sports analyst is of the opinion that this victory was more discouraging for the Buccaneers rather than encouraging.
“It’s just bad football everywhere you look… This felt like a moral loss because it is one where you’re more discouraged than encouraged even though you finally put yourself in a position to go home and beat the Carolina Panthers.” The Bucs will face the Panthers on Sunday, the matchup may not be as easy as they may anticipate it to be as Carolina has become a better team under interim HC Steve Wilkes.
The Buccaneers have gotten off to a slow start early on in the season. Fans anticipated that Brady will be Brady as the season progressed but as we inch closer to the end, the team has not shown much improvement. Hopefully, Tampa closes the season out on a high and comes out swinging in the postseason.
