The encounter between the New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys is going to be interesting. Both teams are in the exact opposite situation compared to each other. The Patriots lost their first two games, however, won their third encounter against the New York Jets. On the other hand, the Cowboys, who won their first two matches, tasted defeat in the third game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Patriots have gathered some of their lost confidence after winning the match against the Jets. Bill Belichick also holds a good record against the Dallas Cowboys, since he emerged victorious in the five encounters against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Sunday night football match will also be important for Ezekiel Elliot who joined the New England Patriots this offseason. The player started his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys and had six seasons with them. For the first time, the player will be playing against his former club.  Speaking on the issue, veteran analyst Skip Bayless feels that Dallas need not worry about him as the player does not pose any threat. He suggested Bill Belichick to feed him more and more.

Here is what Bayless had to say on X, ahead of the Cowboys game: “I dare Bill Belichick to feed “the beast.” Feed him, because I don’t fear him at all!”

Ezekiel Elliot’s performance for the Cowboys

In his tenure at the Dallas Cowboys, the player had an important role. The player covered more than 8,000 yards as a running back and had more than 1,800 cars in his seven six years. In addition to this, the player finished his Cowboys career with 68 touchdowns (TDs) and a running back average of 4.5.

Last year did not go well for the ex-Cowboys star. He had 231cars and covered only 876 yards. However, the player had 12 touchdowns. After his ‘not-so-good’ performance, the Cowboys released him and he became a free agent. In the first three matches, the player was average. However, he played well against the Jets.

After spending six years at the Cowboys, the team released him this season. He was a free agent when the Patriots hired him as their wide receiver. Elliot would definitely like to prove himself against his old club and seek revenge. It is to be seen how he beats the mighty Dallas Defense, which gave up only ten points in the first two games. Though the defensive shape was dismantled in the game vs. the Cardinals and there is no chance of Trevon Diggs playing in the next game, Dallas still has the quality in the defense that can make a difference.
