The Buffalo Bills registered their fifth defeat of the season against the Denver Broncos on Monday. Josh Allen had a poor game in the first half as he covered only 85 yards of passing with two crucial interceptions. He later tried to make a comeback with a rushing touchdown in the next half however, that was not enough to seal things for the team.

After the game, several analysts have raised their eyebrows on the future of the Bills. Among those, Skip Bayless is the one who had a strong opinion about the Bills quarterback Josh Allen. He was disgusted with Allen’s performance. In the recent episode of his talk show ‘Undisputed,’ Smith coined him as a ‘turnover machine.’

I am not being a 2020 hindsight hypocrite hear. I have called him out for his turnovers since his rookie year and I have called Dak out for his turnovers also. But not giving Josh Allen any break in this because he is the ultimate turnover machine in the National Football League.

His blessing or curse is his cannon of an arm. I think he has got the best arm in pro football. It is a little better than Mahomes even.

Josh Allen is suffering from a consistency problem

The problem with Allen’s turnovers and interceptions can not be overlooked. As per statmuse, he has the most number of turnovers (14) and interceptions (11) in the league currently. Allen suffered against the Broncos with his turnovers as well.

He covered 193 yards with the completion of 24 of his 29 passes with three turnovers and one interception. During the third quarter, Allen fumbled with the ball on a handoff exchange with running back James Cook. The game was tied to 15-15 and the Bills could have taken a lead if Allen was a bit careful. However, that became a wasted opportunity.

Bayless pointed this thing out in his conversation. After emphasizing his arm, the ‘Undisputed’ host went on to say, 

He does not have consistent touch. His first interception was an absolute rocket over the middle. I am not sure whether Keyshawn would be able to catch it.

Allen had a great start to his 2023 campaign. He was considered as one of the top contenders for this season’s MVP award. But slowly, the race is getting over for him. The only thing here to be blamed is his inability of not throwing the ball without interceptions.
