The 2022 regular season has ended and with that starts the playoffs and the run to the most coveted trophy in the NFL – the Super Bowl. With teams fighting it out in the Super Wild Card round to advance to the next stage of the playoffs, NFL pundits have released the quarterback rankings. The most surprising position on the list is of Tom Brady who stands 9th.
This latest list has shocked everyone in the league, especially Skip Bayless, who is an admirer of the 7x Super Bowl Champion. Brady has more experience in the postseason than any quarterback in the history of the league and is still ranked low on the list.
Tom Brady has always thrived when people have doubted him and the league knows it all too well. This season, the Buccaneers have had some trouble creating momentum but playoff Brady is like Superman and hardly ever faces defeat.

Tom Brady has a 35-12 record in the playoffs
Skip Bayless showed his disappointment with the list that has Tom Brady way down on the list given his unending list of accomplishments. The list from top to bottom goes – Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Trevor Lawrence, Jalen Hurts, and at ninth position Tom Brady.
Los Angeles Chargers star QB Justin Herbert who has never played a playoff is placed second on the list. Skip Bayless said that he would put Joe Burrow above Patrick Mahomes because the Chiefs’ quarterback is “a careless gambler.” Talking about Jalen Hurts he said the Eagles signal-caller would’ve been the league MVP, but that’s a moot point given Mahomes’ exceptional performance in the second half of the season and Hurts missing games due to injury.
“Tom Brady is ninth on this list. I can guarantee you one thing about this. If Tom Brady is made aware of this, as we speak right now down in Tampa he is chuckling to himself. Of all these quarterbacks if the money is on the line, he’s got a shot to win a playoff game, I would bet on him ahead of any of these guys because he’s still got that going on,” Skip said expressing his displeasure of the list.
Tom Brady has a 35-12 record in the playoff and there is no need to reiterate how many Super Bowl wins he has. A fun fact about the 45-year-old quarterback is that he has lost the same number of Super Bowls as the Cincinnati Bengals – three. This stat alone speaks volumes about the greatness Brady has achieved in his career. And placing him below guys who are yet to start in a playoff game is just downright disrespectful now even with how his performance has been the entire season.
Let’s see whether this playoff QB ranking holds up when the actual playoff starts.
