“An idiot”- Social Media bashes Antonio Brown for making comparisons with his father and AFL legend Eddie Brown

Dread it, Run from it, but the name Antonio Brown keeps on coming back at you, if you’re an NFL enthusiast. The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, hasn’t been on the NFL roster for more than a year, but has done an incredible job of keeping himself relevant despite that.

The 34-year-old took to his Twitter account, to shared a video of his father, Eddie Brown, who is a former Arena Football offensive player. Nicknamed Touchdown Eddie Brown, he is considered one of the best players of the league and was even voted the best player in AFL history, in 2006.

Antonio Brown was no mug as an offensive player himself, and even won the Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also had a distinguished career with the Steelers, before it all started to fizzle out as his off field shenanigans became the talk of the town.

Brown’s final appearance on the gridiron came against the New York Jets in 2021, during which the wide receiver caused a massive furore. He left the game midway shirtless as he took of his sporting gear on the pitch itself. Following that incident, the then Bucs head coach Bruce Arians decided to rip up his contract.

Since then, Brown has been very active on his social media trolling and calling people out including his former teammates, none more than 7x Super Bowl winner Tom Brady. Brown has been critical of the former Bucs quarterback after his ousting from the NFL, and even attacking him on a personal level.

As of now, a return to the NFL seems a long way for Antonio Brown but be rest assured that it’s not the last you’ve heard about the wide receiver, and it would be in all probability be due to an off-field reason.
