Steelers kicker Chris Boswell calls out the referees on social media for wrongly penalizing Pittsburgh instead of the Jaguars
The Pittsburgh Steelers have won four games and lost three this season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers fans cannot stop complaining about the referee after the match against the Jacksonville Jaguars took place. It started with Diontae Johnson, as the player openly expressed his rage in front of the press. Diontae went so far that he claimed the referees were paid to make decisions in favor of the Jaguars.
In the post-match press conference, the wide receiver said:
I don’t care what nobody is saying, they cost us the game. They wanted them to win. Everything was in their favour, every little call. They were calling some stupid stuff. They should get fined for making terrible calls. That’s how pissed I am. They must have got paid well today or something.
However, interestingly, Diontae is not alone in protesting against poor refereeing decisions. He was joined by a bunch of other people who also took jibes against the referee in the game. The likes of Mike Tomlin and Isaac Seumalu criticized the poor calling in the game. The latest to join the bandwagon was Chris Boswell, who sarcastically hammered the referees for their foul play.
Boswell’s concern revolved around an offside call during a field goal scored by the Steelers. He shared a picture that depicted a Steelers lineman perfectly in line when the field goal took place. The picture also showed that a Jaguars player was over the line during the goal. This on-field effort played a role in separating the two teams.
He was not alone in calling out the refs. Mike Tomlin also criticized this poor call, as he said:
I didn't get a lot of dialogue [with the officials]. I hadn't seen that called in 17 years of standing on the sidelines. Offsides, aligned offsides, on a guard on a field goal protection. It didn't matter what they said. I hadn't seen that.
Gloomy day for the Steelers
It was a frustrating and bad day for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. They failed miserably. In addition to this, Kenny Pickett suffered an injury to his ribs. Apart from Johnson, no one performed better to grab a much-needed win for the Steelers. Johnson made some desperate attempts. He had eight receptions for 83 yards. However, that was not enough to seal the game.
As things stand, the Steelers might miss Kenny Pickett in some of the upcoming fixtures. The offensive coordinator needs to discuss a few things regarding the offensive performance that the team showed.
