The famous TV analyst Stephen A. Smith is known for his footballing remarks on the NFL teams. The media person is also infamous for his shrewd and sarcastic remarks on the Dallas Cowboys. People who have little knowledge about the game and know Smith, are aware of how much he hates the Jerry Jones-owned Dallas Cowboys side. However, in a blizzard way, this analyst was seen praising the Cowboys side recently in a TV programme.
Talking about the upcoming NFL season, the analyst said that the Cowboys are more likely to reach the Super Bowl. They will leave the Aaron Rodgers–led side The New York Jets behind. The other panellists, who were present on the show, seemed shocked by his remark as Smith never praises the Cowboys and has a history of making fun of the team.
When he was asked which team between the Jets and the Cowboys has more possibility of making it to the Super Bowl, Smith said, “Believe me or not it is the Cowboys. I am going to be objective in this morning from this perspective… I am only talking about the path of resistance. I am not saying that the Cowboys are better than the Jets or anything like that. I am saying when you look at the AFC and how loaded it is… everywhere you turn there is somebody that can knock you off. In the NFC it is the Philadelphia Eagles, it is the San Francisco 49ers and it is the Dallas Cowboys and there is everyone else.” Smith’s remarks genuinely shocked others. Anyone who knows Smith, knows pretty well that he never praises the Cowboys respective of what takes place.

How are the Dallas Cowboys gearing up?
The Dallas Cowboys have not tasted the Super Bowl for more than 28 years. This year, they will desperately seek the title. Jerry Jones, the owner and the general manager of the team had already claimed that they are in a much better situation than earlier seasons. Jones had also shocked everyone by trading Trey Lance at the 11th hour from the San Francisco 49ers.
Jones’ intention of trading Trey Lance was unclear to the team’s star quarterback Dak Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy. The latter one came to know about the deal only after it took place.
However, the inclusion of Lance triggered some pertinent questions regarding the future of Prescott in the team. But, Jones made it clear that the strategies of the Cowboys will circle Prescott and Lance will be a developing QB.
