“IT’S TIME,” Stephen A. Smith has STRONG advice for Bucs’ Tom Brady after disastrous loss against the Bengals
Stephen A. Smith is concerned about Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tom Brady has built an unbeatable legacy and will probably go down as the greatest NFL athlete of all time. However, for that to happen, the legendary QB will have to hang up his cleats one day or another.
This season hasn’t been kind to Brady, and his stats are witness to that. The 45-year-old QB has struggled to find form throughout the season and has failed to develop any consistency.
The week 15 loss against the Bengals was a disastrous one for Brady as he blew a 17-point lead as the Bucs lost the game. Brady was responsible for 4 turnovers for the Bengals and had a terrible second half of the game.
Stephen A. Smith was highly sympathetic to his struggles on the First Take and advised the GOAT of football to hang up his cleats for good and bid farewell to the beautiful game.
“We know his greatness. He’s the GOAT. We understand that. But there are moments where you just and all you need are moments where you just see, ‘Yo bro, it’s time.” Stephen A. Smith stated on ESPN’s First Take. “It’s time, just so we don’t look at you any differently.’ Now we’re not going to, because he’s a seven-time champion.”
Smith believes that age has finally caught up to Brady and he should take up the Fox broadcast offer and start the next chapter of his life as soon as possible.
Stephen A. Smith believes there is no comeback for Tom Brady
Tom Brady is regarded as the comeback king of the NFL and the Bucs QB has always had the last laugh in the entirety of his career. However, this time Smith believes that there is no coming back for TB12 as he is too far gone.
The Bucs QB has gone through various personal issues this season and to expect a comeback from him would be unrealistic. Although the Bucs are still in first place in their division and will probably make the playoffs. Maybe there will be some glimpses of ‘Psycho Tom’.
According to Smith, the peak of Brady’s career has gone and the 8th Super Bowl ring is looking like a distant reality and a dream that never comes to fruition. However, after years of watching Tom Brady, one thing is true, you never count him out.
The Bucs still have 3 games left in the regular season and will face the Arizona Cardinals in their next game of the season.
