T.J. Watt is one of the best outside linebackers in the league currently. The 6’4″ linebacker is a dominant force in the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive unit. Following his remarkable performance in the 2021 season that led to him winning the Defensive Player of the Year award, Watt got hurt in the next season and missed almost half of the 2022 season. And now, during his recovery in the off-season, Watt almost got hurt again.
The 5-time Pro Bowl linebacker recently fell on the pool while cleaning it but was, fortunately, able to avoid any injuries. T.J. Watt shared the CCTV footage of the incident on his social media with the caption, “Warning.. The activity in this video may be dangerous… don’t try at home.. (I am completely ok ?).” Look away Steelers fans!
As previously mentioned, Watt, fortunately, avoided major injuries during his recovery. His comical moment went viral on social media and accumulated more than 5.6 million views on social media. Steelers Nation and some Steelers players trolled the 3-time All-Pro linebacker for his fall.
“This is the most “TJ” video I’ve ever seen in my entire life. (at least this explains why you were late to clean mine today)” T.J. Watt’s brother J.J. Watt wrote on Twitter.
Nevertheless, T.J. Watt has fully recovered from his injuries. He looks to be a dominant force on the Steelers’ defensive unit once again when he returns to the football field in the upcoming 2023 season.

T.J. Watt could end up winning CPOY award in 2023
Following his impressive outing in the 2021 season where T.J. Watt tied the league record for most sacks in a single season, Watt only played in 10 games in 2022 after suffering an injury. He still made it to the Pro Bowl with 5.5 sacks in those 10 games.
The Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt is currently one of the best defensive players in the league. He has been selected to Pro Bowl 5 times in the last five years. Furthermore, he also received 3 first-team All-Pro recognitions during that time. Watt has also been the DPOY finalist in 3 straight seasons from 2019-21.
Nevertheless, injuries have always been a concern for Watt in his career but whenever he was on the field, the 5-time Pro Bowler was unstoppable. If he can stay healthy in the upcoming, he could certainly bag the Comeback Player of the Year honor in the 2023-24 season. Aside from T.J. Watt, the San Francisco 49ers QB Trey Lance and the Miami Dolphins signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa are also some of the hot candidates to win the CPOY award next season.
