The Pittsburgh Steelers had a stellar victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. On Saturday Night Football, the Mason Rudolph-led Steelers beat the Bengals 34-11. Seeing the performance, the fans at Acrisure stadium chanted Rudolph’s name.

The backup quarterback who replaced Kenny Pickett after the latter was ruled out due to an injury. Rudolph had his first start in the league and stunned everyone with his performance. He covered 290 yards of passing with two touchdowns. In addition, the QB had a 63.0% passing completion rate.

With this brilliant performance, Rudolph triggered hope among the fans who have witnessed many things this season. The fans have gone through a lot, from raising the ‘Out Matt Canada‘ slogan to witnessing WR George Pickens‘ tantrums.

Nonetheless, the fans and the players of the Steelers celebrated the victory. They chanted the name of Rudolph after the game. Speaking with the media on the sideline, linebacker T.J. Watt hailed the night for the quarterback. The LB said,

It was huge, but I am not surprised. The guy has put in so much hard work. He is always so attentive, being a true professional. Not knowing when his chance is going to come but all of that hard work paid off when he got his opportunity. And of course, some guys helped him out and made some big plays as well, and I am very happy for him.

With the success of the quarterback, the Steelers fans can hope big for the coming season. The offensive problems that they have suffered throughout the season can come to an end in the coming time. This season, they do not have much hope left. With eight wins and seven losses in their 15 games, the playoffs are not looking very certain for them.

Mason Rudolph connected well with George Pickens against Bengals

The game against the Bengals might have triggered a lot of hope among the Steelers fans. Not only because of quarterback Rudolph but also the wide receiver George Pickens.

Pickens was suffering from his off form and he expressed his frustration over the team’s offensive inabilities. Nonetheless, this game was an exception to his off-form as he performed pretty well.

Pickens picked up an 86-yard touchdown pass from Rudolph to ensure the lead in the first quarter. In addition, he also secured the game-winning drive as he picked up another 66-yard touchdown pass from the quarterback.

With these two, George Pickens gained his form and provided a staunch reply to his critics. Pickens ended the night with four receptions for 195 yards. It is to be seen whether the WR can help the Steelers make a place in the playoffs.
