Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift dismisses rumors of rift with Kanye West, ‘isn’t concerned’ about ‘one-sided’ beef with the rapper

Taylor Swift and Kanye West have had the most bizarre beef in entertainment history. It all began in 2009 when Kanye ambushed the star’s acceptance speech at the VMA’s for winning the Video of the Year. He eventually went on to disrespect her in 2016 in his song Famous by hinting that he had intercourse with the pop star and he deserves credit for her rise to fame. Since then, there has not been a lot going on between the two. Taylor Swift has become the hottest entertainer on the planet and Kanye West has been forced to live a life in exile of sorts.

The rapper released his latest album Vultures 1 wherein in the song names Carnival, he name-drops Taylor Swift. Of course, the first reaction fans had to this was that the rapper was attempting to re-ignite the beef but this time, Taylor Swift cannot be bothered it seems. The Eras Tour star “has so much on her plate and isn’t concerned with what Kanye is or isn’t doing. She has no plans on responding publicly or privately,” a source close to her revealed to US Weekly.

The source dismissed all rumors of a feud as this time, Taylor Swift is not interested and is caught up with her commitments and is too busy to give any attention to this.

From Taylor's point of view, this beef is one-sided. Kanye is trying to get back in the spotlight and an easy way to do that is through Taylor, who has completely moved on.

For West, who has been living in Northern Italy, name-dropping Swift would be the easiest way to get back into the limelight. However, the ‘beef’ in question may no longer exist for both the stars.

In his song Carnival, Kanye West featured the pop star’s name. Around the same time, Brandon Marshall came out with the bold claim that Taylor Swift made active efforts to kick Kanye West out of Allegiant Stadium after the rapper attempted to book a suite right in front of her to ensure he got air-time whenever the cameras panned to Swift. The claim has since been denied by West’s representatives.

The rapper was in attendance for the game along with his wife Bianca Censori but they were at a different location within the stadium. The Taylor-West feud went on for nearly a decade. Following the VMAs incident, Swift took a jibe at him in her song Innocent from her 2010 album Speak Now where she referenced a 35-year-old man “Still growing up” and it was obvious that this was a reference to Ye.

The question that now remains is if Swift will make any references to the rapper in her upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department. It has been quite the year for her as she juggles her relationship with Travis Kelce, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, and performing across the world as part of her Eras Tour. For now, the beef between the two stands dead.
