Russell Wilson had a miserable first season with the Broncos as the Super Bowl winning QB was looking like a shell of himself. The QB had one of the worst personal records this season as the Broncos struggled to win a single game.
The management recognized the problem and immediately fired HC Nathaniel Hackett, as the team was struggling to show any results. With Wilson out of form and no leadership in sight for the Broncos, there was a need for some changes.
The Broncos have made a big gamble by trading for the Super Bowl winning coach Sean Payton. The former Saints HC completely revolutionized the team and converted Drew Brees into a legendary QB.
There was similar chatter making rounds on social media when Payton was hired as the Broncos’ HC. Many think that he will change Russell Wilson’s fortune and make him one of the best QBs in the league yet again.
Broncos legend Terrell Davis agrees with that assessment and believes that Payton will be a revelation for the team. The former Broncos RB believes that Wilson is not ‘broken’ or ‘washed’ and still can be saved.
“He’s not washed. He’s not broken,” Terrell Davis stated to TMZ. “But obviously, when you have a surrounding support system that doesn’t support what you do well, it will expose your flaws.”

Sean Payton has proved himself in the NFL time and time again. The 59 year old HC is regarded as one of the best coaches in the league and also has a feature film made on him.
Payton has proved himself in the league time and time again, and this time too it won’t be different, according to Terrell Davis. Davis believes that Payton can turn the sinking Broncos ship around and even help Russell Wilson in regard to his abysmal form. “He’s got built-in equity,” Davis said of Payton. “I’ve already seen what he can do with quarterbacks, which leads me to be very positive in what he can do with Russell Wilson.”
Davis believes that the system implemented by former HC Nathaniel Hackett didn’t highlight Wilson’s strengths and probably Sean Payton is the one who will change that.
Russell Wilson has been a victim to incessant trolling on social media and will look to bounce back next season with increased vigor and passion. With the support of Sean Payton, the former Seahawks QB can gain back his old deadly form.
