“So much love and warmth,” Terry Bradshaw’s daughter Rachael reveals how her mom was trying to hook her up with husband Chase Lybbert for over a decade

Legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bardshaw’s daughter Rachael married her childhood friend Chase Lybbert on Saturday in a beautiful ceremony. The wedding took place at the Denton Country Club in Texas with almost 300 guests in attendance. The Hall of Fame quarterback walked his daughter down the aisle at around 6:30 p.m. at the historical Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum where the couple exchanged their vows and were pronounced as husband and wife.
While talking with People magazine, Rachael Bradshaw revealed that her mother had been trying to set her up with her husband since they were kids. “Our families are so close. And solidifying that is so special, really, for all of us. Our moms have been trying to hook us up for over a decade, so this is the best day ever for them, and us! It’s just so much love and warmth,” Rachael said.
Rachael’s mother Charla Hopkins, a family attorney, was Terry Bradshaw’s third wife and was married to him for almost 17 years from 1983-1999 and had two daughters – Erin and Rachael. Looks like Charla playing cupid finally worked out in the end as her daughter is now married to her friend’s son.
The 35-year-old singer didn’t have a traditional ceremony since this was her second marriage. Rachael was previously married to Rob Bironas, a former placekicker for the Tennessee Titans until his death in 2014. The newlywed said she had a big party instead of a traditional wedding ceremony because “it just was way more us.”
Terry Bradshaw is terrible at keeping secrets
Terry Bradshaw played in the NFL for 14 seasons with the Pittsburgh and was at the center of the Steelers dynasty through the 1970s. During the span of six years, Bradshaw won four Super Bowls for his franchise. The former first overall pick won two Super Bowl MVPs, a 1978 NFL MVP, and was nominated to the Pro Bowl three teams.
The former quarterback now co-hosts FOX’s Sunday kickoff and has been a TV Sports analyst since 1994. Bradshaw is apparently not good at keeping secrets just as he was not good at not throwing interceptions (he threw a whopping 210 INTs in his career to 212 TDs). His daughter Rachael revealed that Terry had spoiled her husband’s proposal back in October.
Chase Lybbert pulled the former signal-caller aside when both families had gathered at his house days before Halloween. Lybbert asked Terry for his permission to marry Rachael. Bradshaw agreed and then went into the house and revealed Lybbert’s intention to marry his daughter to everyone. Realizing his error, Terry asked Chase to propose to Rachael then and there and he had no option since the surprise was already ruined. All’s well that end’s well right?
